How do I consolidate my super?

To consolidate your super, all you need is your tax file number. Once you have this single piece of information, you can sort out your super in minutes. There are several different ways you can consolidate your super.

You can consolidate your super online via the MyGov website. This site allows you to view all of the super you’ve accrued throughout your working life. To consolidate you can – quite literally – click and drag your funds into a single fund and automatic notifications will be sent to the funds you wish to close.

Super fund providers and financial institutions can also assist you with super consolidation.

If you wish to consolidate your super into your Colonial First State account, our Super Concierge team can help. Just complete the ‘consolidate my super’ form for each fund you would like to consolidate and we’ll do the rest.

Before you make any changes to your super, speak to your financial adviser. You need to consider things like exit fees, loss of insurance cover and the cost of withdrawing from your super fund.
