At 3pm on 15 November 2023, we suspended transactions on the Dexus Wholesale AREIT investment option. This means we haven’t been able to process applications, switches, rollovers or redemption requests received after 3pm on 15 November 2023 for this option.
Avanteos Investments Limited, as the trustee of the Colonial First State FirstChoice Superannuation Trust and in accordance with the trust deeds, will close the options on 16 December 2023.
Why have we closed this option?
We regularly monitor and review the investment options we offer to ensure they are meeting the needs of our members. The trustee has made the decision to reduce the number of investment options in the Australian property and infrastructure securities investment category due to persistent outflows resulting in an overall reduction in scale in this investment category. As a result, we have determined it is in the best interests of members to close Dexus Wholesale AREIT option and switch the proceeds of the closure to the Ironbark Wholesale Property Securities investment option which is expected to deliver improved performance outcomes at a lower cost.
Members invested in Dexus Wholesale TTR AREIT will have the proceeds of the closure switched to FirstChoice Wholesale TTR Property Securities which is also expected to deliver improved performance outcomes at a lower cost.
What’s next?
For those invested in the option, we will switch the value of your investment at closure of the option to the Ironbark Wholesale Property Securities option or the FirstChoice Wholesale TTR Property Securities option effective 16 December 2023.
